Any beta healer have a positive review?7 September 2010, 11:59 pm
What happened to the kinder/gentler damage vs. health model that we were promised in Cata? And presumably these are normal instances which shouldn't require the best possible lower level gear before entering an 85 instance. Are we expected to farm 83-84 instances before setting foot in 85 instances even on normal? The normal dungeons req..
Quotes are fun.7 September 2010, 11:49 pm
The problem with arguments like this is you are vociferously claiming your dislike for something while disregarding the feedback of all the people who do like it. The healing changes were announced a long time ago, and there have been many discussions since then. It should be clear to you that there are a lot of healers who didn't enjoy the LK st..
You know what's going to happen, right? We won't be making spur-of-the-moment decisions about using it. We'll learn the encounters, plan the moment to use it for each encounter, and then do exactly that without thinking twice. The actual decision will be made in advance, long before we use the ability, and as such it is not an interesti..
Lack of Seal for Holy Pally31 August 2010, 11:00 am
Seal of Insight will improve your mana regen and self healing. It will give you a little of each if you only Judge and give you more (but not a broken amount) if you're ever in a position where you can melee the target. There is also a glyph to improve your healing while Insight is active. I'll concede that running a Seal is probably more importa..
Lightwell Changes Build 1280328 August 2010, 3:57 pm
Most people aren't even willing to click a healthstone, what makes you think they'd go out of their way for lightwell? I can't count the number of times I've thrown down the soul well on my warlock, had a wipe, and nobody needs a new healthstone the next time around. Healthstones are good and good players use them. If bad players contin..
Healer trees and Utility talents23 August 2010, 10:58 pm
I can't comment easily on too many of these specific issues because the talent trees you have access to are fairly out of date compared to the ones we're working with. However, at the stage we're at, it is very helpful to discuss builds like this -- what are the talents you have to give up but don't want to, which are the talents you don't want to..
Holy Paladin Build 12803 Feedback23 August 2010, 10:51 pm
We do think the Holy paladin tree has a few too many mainstream (meaning as apposed to situational) healing-focused talents. The next build or so should have a tree with more freedom. GhostcrawlerLead Systems Designer
Restorative Totems- Another poor talent that buffs totem usage. It is currently an outlier when compared to Blessing of Wisdom due to making a buff more effective than its counterpart. Hopefully scheduled to be scrapped, it will be very disappointing if it remains in any shape. Restorative Totems isn't long for the world. It's a poster ..
Holy Priest specialization spell19 August 2010, 11:58 pm
The new Holy level 10 spell is pretty simple, but it also has a lot of play with Chakra. I am just pointing this out, because many players never noticed the talent that made the old Holy level 10 (Desperate Prayer) into a tool that could heal others. GhostcrawlerLead Systems Designer
Holy Paladin tree18 August 2010, 2:52 pm
We removed the prereq chain from Divine Illumination to Aura Mastery and Light of Dawn. We had the prerq in there to make sure paladins didn't skip over a powerful group utility talent in a perhaps selfish attempt to enhance their personal healing per second, but we do acknowledge that it is far less useful in say 5-player dungeons. Ghostcrawler..
