Hobbies – Where to start. Rugby is the sport I love through and through and I’ve played for 11 years. I got to a pretty high level until I broke my wrist and shoulder, twice. So I’ve put the rugby aside and allowed time for gaming. I started playing World of Warcraft, 3 years ago. Didn’t have a clue what I was getting myself into. Over those years I’ve progressed….immensely. I know this sounds kind of sad, but I don’t have much time to go out (because of the demands on raiding) but in all honesty I do enjoy staying in to raid instead of burning my money (Uni loan) on getting wrecked and ill. Though, on a weekend (off raid days) I will tend to spend time with my girlfriend and friends, to get ill drunk and spend my money: P. Love a good sense of humor, which I hope to find a little of at least within Numen. But enough about the social side, I’ll get talking about my experience and play style.

Raiding Experience

I have played wow for over 3 years. I didn’t realize at that point that I would be playing it as hardcore as I do now.
My raiding experience roots from the opening of TBC. I entered a guild that was progressing through karazhan. I was a novice, but was learning fast and soon began leading raids for the guild. At this time, I raided on my mage. We cleared kara before I felt it was time to search for a better guild to progress with at a faster rate. I joined a guild called Olympus and with them, paced through SSC and TK. With the release of MH and BT I really wanted to push myself to the next level and to compete at recognized rankings. To do this, I joined a guild called Vision who was on the server, Quel’Thalas. We cleared MH and BT comfortably and moved into sunwell. Inside, we managed to clear up to, and including twin, pre-nerf, fighting for server firsts and achieving! Sadly, by the end of TBC, Vision disbanded. I went back to a more casual schedule of raiding at this time because of exams, whilst in a guild with friends. At this time I began to raid on my paladin. We cleared Naxx with the release of WOTLK and also achieved server second on Sarth 3D’s.
With the release od Ulduar and my exams over, I was ready to raid hardcore, again. I server transferred to join a guild called Velocity, on Grim Batol. With Velocity I achieved ‘Glory of the Ulduar Raider’ and ‘Tribute to skill’ 25man. Just after the Anub kill Velocity disbanded. I was forced to look for another guild. I became a member of EX who were also on Grim Batol. EX gained very good ranking, achieving server first for ‘Tribute to Insanity’, battling with the guild Balance for the server rankings. According to WowProgress EX ranked 40th in the World for Tier9. With EX I also achieved ‘Tribute to Insanity’ 10man. We comfortably farmed all raids until the release of ICC. The release of ICC were exciting times. We easily cleared the first wing 10 and 25man with simplicity. Over Christmas my P.C broke. I missed out on a few weeks of raiding, hence the lack of ICC gear when you check my armory. My P.C malfunction also lost me my raiding position in the guild. When the P.C was fixed I came back to see I had been demoted…. Not much I can do with a bust P.C though . Anywho, this leaves me up to date, hence my Application to Numen.
I’m excited to have the chance to apply to Numen and I hope you feel the same way about this application!



PvP - Arena

You may think, PvP /care ?
But yeah, I think I can explain well enough to convince you that PvP is a /care matter.
Ive been playing Arena for 2 season now. It has been KEY for my gaming progress. I can honestly say that from Arena experience my reaction time, player movement and perception has improved immensely. Its not like I play at a lowbie lvl, I recently achieved the Arena Master title with front page rankings.
At the moment my rankings stand-
2v2: 2354
3v3: 2270
5v5: 2364 (Front page with a new team ratio of 65 – 9, and we were aiming for Glad until I had my p.c problem)


What will I offer?

Experience across all game aspects. Professionalism in my approach to raiding, and gaming attitude. Beneficial to the guild in as many ways required. I think a lot of the above can tell you what I have to offer.


What am I Looking for?

I’m looking for a guild with a professional attitude towards gaming and raiding. A social place, to chat and befriend with other members. A guild with the same progress which I’m at now. I’m certain that Numen can deliver these requests.

Raiding Time and Days:

Working from server the times.

Monday - Online from 15:00 Until Whenever
Tuesday - Online from 18:00 Until Whenever
Wednesday - All day and night free
Thursday - All day and night free
Friday / Saturday - See my girlfriend these days usually
Sunday - 18:00 - 24:00
As you can see i have a lot of free time being my first year at University

I have a few questions about your gear

Why are you using the crit shoulder and helm enchants instead of Mp5?
Why are you using your +10stats gem for a 5sp bonus when there is better bonuses available?
Why are you using Althor's Abacus? This is very little use to paladins and isn't even ranked on most holy pala bis lists.
And do you have any plans to reroll enchanting to more a more useful profession like blacksmithing or alchemy?

Hey, thanks for the reply and questions. Thats a good point about the MP5 Enchants instead. Ill look into getting them on ! Paladins have enough Crit as it is for healing.

I don't have any plans atm to re-roll and scrap my Enchanting. I have spent a lot of time and effort in getting All of the Enchant Formula's. Sory for my stubbornness!
I have a screenshot coming your way, but im missing a few addons. The most important which you will notice is my beacon of light / SS / FoL HoT timer is missing. That will be up when i get out of this pug. P.S i know the UI is simple. i only use essential addons and lots of keybinds as you can see.

Well its only 4sp extra so it wouldn't make a noticable difference. But I would sugest working on getting a new wep for PvE so you can put 10stats in your helm and enchant 30int on your wep.

Do you use macro's for your healing/buff spells or do you need to target the player you want to cast them on?

Your grid could be configured better. When somone has incoming heals or health defict it shouldn't overwrite their name. You should turn on "centre text 2" and have incoming heals or health deficit shown their

About the PvE Weapon, yes i have been trying for the Anub 25man HM Weapon's but never had a chance to get one sadly. Will be a bonus to get one i know. The SP can be replaced by +30 int when i'm done in this raid.

Keybindings for DI / Divine Favour / Avenging Wrath / Divine Sac / Lay of Hands are usually Shift 1-5 bound.

I use mouse-over macro's and about the Grid. It is pretty much standard atm as i had to throw up the basic macro's for this pug so i could get you a screen shot. It is changed a lot when i configure it to my use.

Haha, Well the only good rating i have this season is my 5's. My other two i don't play, i hit 2450 in 2's and 2375 ish in 3's. Which is better, but still not like, OMFG YOUR SO AMAZING MAKE LOVE TO ME.

Just took a look at your new gear. Some of your choices are questionable.
The priority for stats on paladin gear is:

Haste + Mp5 > Haste + Crit > Crit + Mp5

But you have chosen alot of Crit + Mp5 gear where Haste + Mp5 is available

For example you have chosen Heaume of the Restless Watch when you could have gotten Helm of Inner Warmth
But the proper choice would have been to get the t10 helm instead of t10 gloves.
You only have 484 haste atm and the minimum a paladin wants is 680ish to be able to reach the FoL haste cap.

So your choice to avoid haste gear when you are 200 haste away from what you need shows that you still have some things to learn about your class

No, i totally understand my class what the haste cap is, and i can answer your query. The Tier10 gloves that i have ; this is the story. I bought the badge gloves which was a clear mistake. So i ticketed a GM asking whether i could have the badges back in replace that he took the badge gloves off of me. But this then left me with no gloves.... So with my badges i was forced to buy the Tier10 Gloves. I was always planning on getting the Tier 10 Head first, but ive just explained why i wasnt able to get it. I have 72 Emblems atm, i will be buying the Tier10 helm as soon as i hit 95. But yes, there's still a little bit of a lack of haste. Replacing my [Pauldrons of the Cavalier], i replaced haste for 32 MP5, but the shoulder were a clear upgrade elsewhere, and the stat increase for all other stats was clearly worth doing. And then there's the 64 haste that i lost when changing my Hands about, but ive already explained my situation there.
Ill receive a huge amount of my Haste when purchasing the ilvl251 Tier10 Head piece, and even more when i upgrade it to ilvl264. Still, im not at the recommended haste though. But that will come through off gear, such as something to replace ring / waist. etc. Also, Tier 10 Shoulders will probably cap my haste.

Hope you now have an insight to my thought on my gear, and how i also recognise what could be improved

I still don't understand why you would use your t10token on upgrading your gloves to 264. The only time you should be using t10 gloves is if you have haste on all your gear except t10 legs + gloves and are using the 4set bonus.
And it doesn't explain your choice to buy the plate badge helm instead of the mail one

When i ticketed the GM to take my Emblem of Frost gloves back from me and he gave me the 60 Frost Emblems back, i was left with No gloves at all lol. So like i said, i didn't have much a choice other than to buy the Tier10 gloves.....
I think i see where your coming from - '' why didn't i buy the Tier 10 ilvl251 Gloves and then, later buy the Helm and use the token on the helm ''. Tbh, yeah hands up, that probably would have been the better way to do it. But is it not a huge problem. I will lose out on 12 haste, UNTIL i upgrade to the 264 helm.
The main reason for doing what i have done - I was always planning to buy the Tier 10 Helm an Gloves first. Reason for this - My legs and chest are both from TotGC 25man. They both have a good stat of haste. My Head and Hands both had Mp5 on them and they both also had the lowest ilvl out of my Head / Chest / Hands / Legs. It seemed logical that replacing my hands and Head first would be the greatest upgrade for not only All stats, but for haste too.

And about the Plate helm - I bought that a very long time ago, and at the time i had a lot more haste, hence no need for more haste, so i bought the MP5 helm. There's no point in me buying it now as i can soon buy the ilvl251 Tier 10 Helm. Im very close to having my stats once again, perfectly balanced.
